Frequently Asked Questions
What signalling equipment and components do you supply?
Our signalling range covers a broad selection of rail infrastructure equipment, including LED signal heads, location cases (LOCs), tail cables, junction boxes, relay racks, treadles, point machine components, and track circuit isolation hardware.
Are Unipart’s signalling products compliant with Network Rail standards?
Yes. All signalling materials and equipment are manufactured and tested to meet stringent rail industry safety standards, holding relevant Network Rail PADS approvals to ensure reliable signal operation and network compatibility.
Do you provide weatherproof and surge-protected signalling enclosures?
Absolutely. Our trackside location cases, terminal boxes, and housings feature high IP ratings (up to IP67) for complete dust and water protection, alongside integrated surge protection components to guard against lightning strikes and power spikes.
Are low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) cables available for signalling installations?
Yes. We supply fire-retardant and LSZH signalling cables designed specifically for installation in high-risk zones, underground routes, and enclosed transit environments to maximize safety and minimize toxic smoke in the event of a fire.
Can I request technical documentation or place bulk orders for signalling projects?
Yes. Technical datasheets, wiring schematics, and PADS certificates are available upon request. For major signal renewal schemes, bespoke assemblies, or commercial bulk orders, please contact our technical sales team.
